Cross-sector energy supply concept for Erich NETZSCH GmbH & Co. Holding KG, Selb

BEN-Tec GmbH has developed a cross-sector energy supply concept for the decarbonization of the company sites in Selb on behalf of Erich NETZSCH GmbH & Co. Holding KG. Within the scope of service phases 1 to 3, an integrated electricity and heating system was analyzed, simulated, and conceptually planned – for this purpose, BEN-Tec recorded several building and site structures and evaluated their energy flows in relation to photovoltaic systems, biogas, and biomethane.

The core of the concept is a reformer technology that generates hydrogen from these green gases, thereby creating flexible supply security and emergency power capability for the site. The goal was a future-proof and simultaneously economical energy supply that meets high technical, ecological, and safety requirements.

Through the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling), detailed energy simulations, and structured project management, BEN-Tec achieved both high cost transparency and schedule reliability. The company’s own quality management system, with clearly defined testing processes and verification steps, additionally ensured project processing that was error-free and compliant with standards.
